THE VIBRATION TOOLBOX FOR MATLAB

The Matlab toolbox associated with the text "Engineering Vibration" revised edition by Daniel Inman (Prentice Hall,1995) is maintained by Dr. Joe Slater of Wright State University (jslater@cs.wright.ed) and is provided free to text users in two ways.

The first is by contacting the Mathworks as directed in the text (or contacting Naomi Bulock at nbulock@mathworks.com).  This should get you a disc version of the older toolbox.

The second is to go to http://www.cs.wright.edu/people/faculty/jslater/vtoolbox. This is much more detailed then what is available from the Mathworks directly and includes gui, finite elements, etc; all correlated with the text mentioned above.  It is available free and is updated often.

You may also find more information about Daniel Inman's book by going to:  http://cw.prenhall.com/bookbind/pubbooks/inman/.
